Author’s Note: Thank you to my wonderful and most excellent beta [info]ships_harry without whom this would have been an absolute mess, and a wink to [info]blpaintchart for some Brit-picking she didn't know was for this fic. Lee, I really was looking at doing one of your plotty prompts -- or rather something based on elements from both your long plotty promtps -- but the Semester from HELL (TM) was busy having its way with me and I had to fall back to something shorter and a bit simpler, figuring that you would rather have a short but intense (and hopefully well-crafted) story rather than long but half-assed one. I hope I was right. ;-) I have to admit I wasn't entirely happy with the last bit -- possibly due to conflicting school deadlines and me pulling 2 all-nighters in a row while finishing this -- so it's been just slightly reworked -- maybe 'retouched' is a better word -- with the result being, uhm, slightly more smex. Or rather, slightly more graphic smex. (Don't ask how these things happen. They just do.)
Story Notes: I think I've decided to post some meta on this story as well -- at least a third of which will probably be bitching about a certain 'makes absolutely NO fucking sense!' canon decision by JKR which resulted in way too much hair-pulling and teeth-gnashing on my part -- but I'll do that in a separate post due to possible spoilers. I might even dig around on the 'cutting room floor' file and toss out a couple of deleted scenes; and maybe even include a contest poll for "Why was this scene deleted?" (including the option "Because it sucks, duh!") Hmm.... ticky box meta. That could be weird. And maybe fun. We shall see.

Things you should probably know before you start reading:Snape, Black and Lupin are all living in sin together (not at 12 Grimmauld Place) and and have been for awhile. No, I cannot explain this, and I'm not even going to try.

This was dropped on my head in the shower this morning, possibly via Invisible Owl Post. When I looked at it, I thought "Ah, this must be for Lee!"

I wrote this for [info]lee_love but am cross-posting here for benefit of my dear flist, and so I can also link it to the BBTP challenge. (Because, y'know, I don't think Lee has any problem with slinging more porn around. Merlin knows I don't!) :-D
